I use Mark 1:17 as base scripture, because I see Children's Ministry to be just like fishinng.  When you go fishing, which are the easiest to catch?  The small fish! Oh sure you land a big trophy from time to time, but where is the the real thrill in fising? It is in the catching. Young fish are easier to catch, and so are the children.  After we catch them, we are to bring them to Jesus.  We all know what he can do with two little fish.  What more can he do with the lives of  children!?  But Jesus called the children to him and said" Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdon of God belongs to such as these."

Luke 18:16.  I believe that children are a gift from God.  It is our responsibility to make sure they are discipled in a manner so they learn to have a lifelong relationship with God the Father, God the Song, and God the Holy Spirit.
